NEWS LETTER: JUNE 2014

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support remained at 47.3% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 72.4% of our budget—our Lord will be proven faithful..!

* On May 17th a group of about 40 people from our church headed to the mountains of Chaclacayo for a Koinonia Day. We also had the pleasure of baptizing Jimena Ugarte, a 22 year-old of our congregation, into Christ Jesus. Father, bless Jimena; fill her heart with faith to know Your love and to find satisfaction in Your goodness..!

* On May 19th I shared at the weekly meeting of Christian Surfers of Peru. The Lord continues to edify us as we consider together the treasures of Christ in His word.

* On May 24th my family and I participated in a Christian Surfers' Beach Reunion intended to rise up new young leaders for the local movement.

* On May 29th we enjoyed a movie night at our church with record attendance of about 30 people. A few non-believers attended the event and were ministered to. Father, call them into Your kingdom..!

* On May 31st I gave an evangelism class to the youth of Christian Surfers of Peru in our church facility.

* On June 1st we had our 1st Sunday afternoon service. This service is geared toward reaching surfers and others that this schedule would better appeal to. Father, we ask that You shed Your grace upon this effort to build Your kingdom.

* On June 6th my wife, Karla, hosted a Women’s Breakfast at our house. The women of our congregation continue to build strong bonds of christian fellowship in order to grow in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God.


Online Outreach Stats (May, 2014):
* Video Ministry: 843 "Loads" and 77 "Plays" in 10 different countries (Peru, United States, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Argentina, Bolivia and Uruguay--in order of most "Plays"). 

* Church Facebook: 195 People-Talking-About-This and 3146 of Total-Reach. We closed the month with 320 Likes.

* Church Web Page: 135 Visits with 76 Unique Visitors from 10 different countries (Peru, United States, Brazil, Austria, Colombia, Bolivia, Germany, Mexico, Canada and Switzerland--in order of most Visits).

Prayer Needs:
* For a fresh and empowering view of God, that we may learn to see His goodness in all places and in all things, and that His will be done in our lives.
* Against spiritual oppression and discouragement in my family.
* For our marriage, our devotional lives, and for our kids to continue to grow in their desire to know the Lord.
* For good health to all in our family.
* For God's provision to cover the medical expenses due to Samuelito's broken elbow.
* For our new Sunday afternoon service.
* For God's leading and provision on as we seek to move our Sunday morning service to a bigger facility
* For our up coming missionary trip as a church to the area of Cajamarca and Cajabamba in September/October of this year.
* For our church to be rooted on an ever fresh vision of the grace of God.
* For a downpour of spiritual realities and an intense hunger for God in the hearts of everyone in the church, including our children and our youth.
* For the healing hand of God on the marriages of our church.
* For the development of male leadership in our church.
* For the development of healthy relational discipleship groups where our congregation truly comes to know and grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
* For our video ministry, church Facebook and church web page to reach many with the Word of God.
* For the Lord to strengthen and develop godly homeschooling here in Peru.
* For the salvation of the people of the Club Terrazas Swimming Team and beyond.
* For Divine guidance and blessing as we seek to make disciples in the peruvian city of Huamachuco, as well as in Caracas, Venezuela. Also for God to raise up local pastors for these locations that are of one mind with the vision of Calvary Chapel Miraflores.
* For my involvement with the local ministry of Christian Surfers and with the Truth Wave radio ministry of Calvary Chapel Aventura.
* For financial provision for my wife and I to attend the annual Groundswell Conference of Christian Surfers, this year to be celebrated in Costa Rica from July 27th till August 1st.
* For our monthly financial support to go back to 100% of our budget.

NEWS LETTER: MAY 2014

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support remained at 47.3% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 100% of our budget—our Lord IS faithful..!

* On April 19th I was invited back to participate with pastor Vic Batista from Calvary Chapel Aventura in their spanish radio programs Pastors Perspective & The House of Prayer. These are programs of their radio station ministry Truth Wave

* On April 21st I was invited back to share at the weekly meeting of Christian Surfers of Peru. After much prayer we have decided to start a new Sunday afternoon service with the idea of reaching surfers and others that this schedule would better appeal to. Our first of these services will be on June 1st at 5:30pm

Father, we ask that You shed Your grace upon this efforts to build Your kingdom as we believe You are the One leading us to do them.

* On April 29th my wife, Karla, hosted a Women’s Breakfast at our house mostly with the women that attend her weekly Women’s Group every Thursday morning in the church. It’s exiting to see these group of women grow together in the grace of God.

* On May 8th we met with a godly couple from Texas/North Carolina, the Doggett, that came to visit our church as they have been praying for us through the prayer ministry of CC Ft. Lauderdale. The Lord put in their hearts to support our ministry, for a season, with the added expenses of moving our Sunday morning services into a bigger facility.

Father, we thank You for Your blessing and ask that You continue to bless the Doggett. We pray for Your clear leading in using Your new provision according to Your will.

NEWS LETTER: APRIL 2014

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support remained at 47.3% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 69.2% of our budget—our Lord will be proven faithful..!

* On March 17th I was invited to share at the weekly meeting of Christian Surfers of Peru. It was a blessing to witness the Spirit of God move powerfully in our midst. After my visit I was led to commit to visit them one a month. I was allotted to share on the third monday of every month.

We are praying about starting a new Sunday afternoon service with the idea of reaching surfers and others that this schedule would better appeal to.

* On March 29th I was invited to an interview with pastor Vic Batista from Calvary Chapel Aventura at their radio station ministry Truth Wave. It was also a blessing to witness the Spirit of God move powerfully through us during the interview. I’ve been asked to be a regular guest and possible co-host their Pastors Perspective Program & The House of Prayer program in Spanish.

Thank You, Father, for allowing us to serve You and for using our feeble efforts to further Your kingdom of light in this world that so desperately needs You… Thank You for loving us with Your never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking, always and forever love..!

NEWS LETTER: MARCH 2014

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support remained at 47.3% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 70.0% of our budget—our Lord will be proven faithful..!

* On March 25th I had a get-together with a group of Calvary Chapel senior pastors in the area. I had a great time reconnecting with my co-laborers here in the Lima, Peru area. We were able to update each other with our prayer needs so we can do battle together.

Since our arrival the Spirit of God has been moving powerfully in our congregation through our Sunday studies of the grace of God seen in the book of Ephesians. It really has been a fresh Word from God that has reminded us, as Chuck Smith would say it, why grace changes everything… Thank You, Father, for Your never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking, always and forever love..!

NEWS LETTER: FEBRUARY 2014

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support dropped to 47.3% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 86.5% of our budget—our Lord will be proven faithful..!

The last days of our furlough in the US we visited many of our faithful supporters in the South Florida area including the Escorcia’s, the Verrier’s, the Monteith’s, the Thursday Night Chicas’ Bible study, the Brink’s and our home church campus, CC Plantation. Thank you all for your love and support throughout the years!

* On January 28th we left South Florida and after 19 hours of travel time we made it back to Peru. We were lovingly received by the Monzon’s at the airport after a smooth passage through the peruvian customs—praise God! This marked the beginning of the 3rd chapter of our ministry as missionaries to Miraflores-Lima, Peru. Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity to serve You in this capacity..!

* On February 2rd we had our first Sunday service after our furlough. It was a blessing to reconnect, in person, with the congregation. It was also a blessing to be back in the the pulpit with a message of freedom in the unconditional love of God, in Christ, as we started our study of the book of Ephesians. Father, set us all free to revel in Your love and be satisfied in Your goodness..!

* On February 5th we celebrated Samuelito’s 6th birthday. He is back to 100% of his physical capacities now playing tenis and swimming.

* On February 6th I met with Antonio Farfán to discuss ministry opportunities with Christian Surfers of Peru.

Since our arrival we’ve been very busy doing ministry reconnecting with the people and doing a lot of errands to get up to date after our prolonged furlough absence… More to come next month.
