NEWS LETTER: JANUARY 2013

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support went up to 82.8% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 100% of our budget—our Lord IS faithful..!

* On December 14th our church had last year's Christmas Party in a Chinese restaurant. We were blessed to display the reality of Christ in us by the way we loved one another, before the world to see, in this sweet time of fellowship. Thank You, Father, for making us Yours!

* On December 16th we trained and equipped the current leader of CC Huamachuco, one of our satellite campus church efforts. This was made possible through an $800 donation pledged we got on December 3rd by a person that attends our English Home Group.

* On December 20th our church presented last year's Christmas Play titled, A Christmas Story. This was a truly remarkable event in which we saw the Spirit of God moving mightily. Not only God orchestrated the gifts, talents and resources of almost all the members of our church, but He also brought a crowd of about 100 people, mostly unsaved, to see and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ--they were given an invitation to repent.

* On December 21st our church did a Christmas outreach to Pachacutec in the northern outskirts of Lima. This is an area where one of the ladies of our church has been ministering for quite some time. Now we're in the process of setting up there a satellite of our church in order to bless them with our teaching and worship ministry through videos.

* On December 30th we had one of the fullest Sunday services in the history of our church. Keep them coming, Lord...

* On January 3rd we received a cash donation of $2000 specifically designated to help offset the moving expenses we had when we moved to our new home back in May of last year. Lord, You're worthy of our praise!

Prayer Needs:
* For a fresh and empowering view of God, that we may learn to see His goodness in all places and in all things, and that His will be done in our lives.
* For our marriage, our devotional lives, and for our kids to continue to grow in their desire to know the Lord.
* For God's provision to pay for the remaining moving expenses we had when we moved to our new home back in May.
* For my upcoming trip to Venezuela--January 23rd to February 2nd. That I would be used by the Lord to foster the spiritual growth of my mom, the rest of the family and beyond.
* For the Lord to raise up help to pick up the burden of the tasks the Alegre's help with in the church as they are all going back to the States on February and March.
* For God's leading on expanding the church as we are forced into finding a new location for the church by the end of May 2013.
* For a downpour of spiritual realities and an intense hunger for God in the hearts of everyone in the church, including our children and our youth.
* For the healing hand of God on the marriages of our church.
* For the development of male leadership in our church.
* For the Lord to make the ministry of the Alegre's here in Miraflores, including Aileen's, an extremely fruitful one to the glory of God.
* For the development of healthy relational discipleship groups where our congregation truly comes to know and grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
* For our recently launched Video Ministry and Facebook to reach many with the Word of God.
* For the Lord to strengthen and develop godly homeschooling here in Peru.
* For the salvation of the people of the Club Terrazas Swimming Team and beyond.
* For Divine guidance and blessing as we seek to make disciples in the cities of Cajabamba, Huamachuco and Pachacutec. Also for God to raise up local pastors for these locations that are of one mind with the vision of CC Miraflores.
* For our monthly financial support to stay at 100% of our budget.

Thank you for holding us up through your love and faithful work of intercession..!

In His love,
Andres, Karla, Sebastian, Daniel, and Samuel—the Garcia’s.

* On November 10th 16 people from our church attended this year's Pastors and Leader's Conference at Gracia Calvary Chapel. There I was given the honor to teach on 2 Corinthians 5 and 6. The Lord led me to teach on the Ministry of Reconciliation. We were all refreshed and challenged by the different expositors that taught the Word of God in this conference. Thank You, Father!

NEWS LETTER: OCTOBER 2012

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support remained at 73.8% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 82.0% of our budget—our Lord will be proven faithful..!

* On September 10th our Video Ministry was launched: vimeo.com/channels/ccmiraflores. Now the teaching ministry of our church is available on the internet… Father, may Your Word go forth and set many souls free--free to know You and love You with abandon!

* On September 14th a big group from our church went to the city of Ica for a Women's Conference at Calvary Chapel Ica. All the women returned excited about how the Spirit moved bringing further conviction and freedom from sin to many during that time. Thank you Tracy..!

* On September 17th I had a prayer meeting and a delightful time of fellowship with many of the Calvary Senior Pastors in the area and beyond. This meeting was possible as a courtesy of Calvary Chapel Pisco. Thank you, Pastor Marcos..!

* On September 21st through the 24th I traveled, along with Juan Alegre and Rodolfo Monzon, the other leaders of our church, to the cities of Cajabamba and Huamachuco. These are the cities previously visited by the first missionary trip from our church back on August that produced many new converts.

The purpose of this trip was to follow up with these new converts to figure out ways to disciple them. We are working to start remote extensions of our church in these cities as an effort to prepare the soil for future independent church plants.

* On September 25th our church joined Facebook. Check it out and befriend us here: Calvary Chapel Miraflores. This ministry has been made possible by Aileen Alegre, our newest missionary from Calvary's Bible College in Hungry… Yes, she is Juan and Sandra's daughter. They are blessed to have her here and so are we! Thank You, Lord.!!

* On October 10th we started our house hunt for the new location for our church and we may have found the perfect spot for our Sunday services, but is early to say… We still have until May 2013 to move out of our current location so we have time to save. However, if the church grows a tad more we would have to move sooner since we are almost full on Sundays… Father, please show us Your glory by providing abundantly for all the needs of Your church. Starting with sufficient faith for the Pastor to rest peacefully on Your faithfulness to provide.!!

NEWS LETTER: SEPTEMBER 2012

Developments:
Last month our pledged monthly financial support remained at 73.8% of our budget; after adding one-time donations the Lord provided 95.7% of our budget—our Lord will be proven faithful..!

* On August 9th our first missionary team traveled to the mountains of Cajabamba where they spent six days ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ and strengthening the local church in the area. As usual, this trip turned out to be an incredible blessing to the missionaries themselves as to the people in the area.

The Spirit of God moved in the hearts of many in our team. After this trip, many came back truly transformed being able to enjoy new freedom from sin--the freedom that is reserved to those who abide in the Word of our Lord (John 8:31-32).

God's Spirit also moved mightily in the people of the area producing the fruit of many new converts, so much so that I, as the Pastor of the church, am traveling to the area with my two leaders on September 21st. We want to follow up with the new converts to figure out ways to disciple them. We will be seeking God's will about starting remote extensions of our church in the cities of Cajabamba and Huamachuco as an effort to prepare the soil for future independent church plants.

The truth is that a woman from our church has been faithfully praying for this area for the last 10 years, so we are going to piggyback on the blessing that is starting to fall down from heaven. It's all about prayer.!!

Oh, how exciting to see the Lord expanding our territory to go and make disciples of all the peoples!

* On August 18th we had our second Christian rock outreach with Mario Garcia, one the latest additions the Lord gave to our church. Father, thank You for giving us opportunities to reach out the lost in our community. We ask that You would draw them to Your Son.

* On August 19th we said farewell to our beloved missionaries Mayo Schroth and Matyas Csiha as they went back to the US and Hungry, respectably. Thank you guys for letting the Lord use you to strengthen our church in Miraflores!

* On September 6th we had a Night of Missions in the church. There the team that traveled to Cajabamba went through a day-by-day slideshow of their trip sharing with the congregation the many blessings they encountered during their missionary trip.

Prayer Needs:
* For a fresh and empowering view of God, that we may learn to see His goodness in all places and in all things, and that His will be done in our lives.
